It is recognition that the peace process still needs bedding down and is recognition of the vital work being carried out by community groups across the six counties and the border regions. “Friday’s event provides an opportunity for community groups and activists from across Belfast to inform us of their hopes for the roll-out of a PEACE III and to discuss the way forward. “Sinn Féin has been proactive in ensuring that this funding was secured. Over the past two to three years we have pressed the case for PEACE III with both the British and Irish Governments as well as holding a number of Note to Editor: Seamus McAleavey from NICVA will also address Friday’s event, which will be chaired by Alex Maskey MLA
