Climate Change Committee mandate extended

Sinn Fein MEP Bairbre de Brún has welcomed the decision by the European Parliament to extend the mandate of Parliament's Temporary Committee on Climate Change by nine months, from 10 May 2008. The parliament has decided that an interim report, dealing only with the scientific aspects of climate change will be produced at that time and the final report will now be produced at the end of the extended mandate of the committee.
